Marcelo Music Lessons

I have been teaching for many years and know that each student has their own mindset and we need to work around each person's goals and interests. I teach mainly pop, rock, blues, jazz, classical, funk, RnB. All ages and levels are welcome.

Lessons are very relaxed and we will focus on ways to practice and getting the student to learn not only their instrument, but also music as a language. I make sure to always adapt to each one of my students with the methods I have. On our first class we will spend some time discussing what are the goals of the student and I will formulate a good plan so we can reach those goals in no time. For my kids students, I like to balance the use of a book, which gives them structure and a clear workload to practice at home, but also mix it up with writing some songs together, playing musical games and learning through fun songs! For my adults, I am all about listening. Many times, people come to me with a goal or with a genre they would like to explore. I will help you get there! Sometimes people might just want to learn from scratch and have the full experience, and that is also great and I will guide you through your journey!

AUDITION PREP I also help people to prepare for auditions for Colleges or Bands/Musicals/Plays. For this subject, I will tell you how to get ready for an audition. If you are trying to get in a college I have many contacts around the country and know how most auditions work and can help you with any question there might be. For auditions for orchestras or band we can work on repertoire and behavior to get you ready and all set to get accepted
